The Salem House of Prayer began as The Upper Room at The Reed Opera House in Salem Oregon September 1st 2014. It stemmed from over three decades of disappointment with the organized religion of Christianity. Getting to know my creator was so much more real than the dog and pony show of church. And in March 2016 it got all too real (long story), and there has been no turning back. The Upper Room became a true monastery and a true house of prayer.
